As a reminder that while some have very fond memories of the cards and the shares… the pressure (and disappointment) was real. Lots of connections with the Charlie Brown special (no Valentines Cards) and the pressure of what messaging you are giving based on what you hand out… I’m glad that today we get to ‘miss’ that pressure at our building (though some teachers did do a community activity making cards for our senior support center…) and instead get to do some focusing on our own adult learning.

Knowing I’ll probably take some hits for being on my device during today’s presentations… but I find this a much more effective way to be engaged in the sessions – usually typing notes… sometimes doing a bad job of sketchnoting (still trying to better channel my inner Sylvia Duckworth…) but I can defend my use of screens all day long – and even modelling sitting in the front row, so others behind me can monitor what I’m doing… even had an educator come down and comment that they are also going to try the front row experience since I’m down here.
