Day 161 (of 2024/25) @pie_partners Comic Con 2025 update! #tcaf 

Things are getting busy – in a good way: for the second year in a row, there is growing excitement and enthusiasm for winding down the learning year with a comic-con! I’m excited to do a broader share of how the comic-con and a physical comic book exclusive library in our physical building (we are a provincial online learning school) have helped with students making connections!

For the second year in a row I am hearing early messages from parents indicating some enthusiasm for this “first time that my child wants to attend an event at a school”.

There is an idea I am going to stir up about expanding the audience – my focus is “our school community” having a safe place to come and follow some passions ~ but know some others (other schools and others in the community) are curious – so I’m seeing if there’s interest to do an “after dark” session (afternoon/evening – not late night😇) to invite the broader community for a repeat of some sessions… eg Mario Kart tournament during the day; Smash Bros in the afternoon!

But the bigger announcement: I’m really excited that our PAC has helped us arrange an appearance by Tony Weaver Jr – love his book Weirdo ~ I love the message and enthusiasm to be true to yourself!
