Day 104 (of 2025/26) #TumblerRidge
Meetings have been cancelled.
Across the district and throughout the province…
Questions asked about flag protocol
As flags get lowered across the country…
Wonders about how schools do our lockdown/hold and secures (we just reviewed fire drills, earthquakes and secure drills for the 3rd and 4th times of the year… and know that our community campus is not an ideal location to have to suddenly limit access to outsiders.)
Wonders about if schools should always have locked doors –
inside and out…
The worst case scenario…
The losses that will reverberate for eons…
The fear and worry that will only increase anxieties
And stresses…
And community…
And belonging…
To the families that woke up today without someone they love..
There aren’t the right words
Or sentences
Known for years…
Change in baseline?
Preventable?
Crisis vs ongoing treatment?
Who watches those who slip/fall/are pushed through the cracks as teens?
2 minute response time saved lives
Reflections matter as we consider what else could’ve been done
To influence what we should do next… and now…
