Day 127 (of 2025/26) InterNational Transgender Day of Visibility
Never forget:
🏳️⚧️ You matter
🏳️🌈 You are loved
🏳️⚧️ You are valued
🏳️🌈 You are important
🏳️⚧️ Your identity is valid
But challenges continue: https://apple.news/AuLdeAi7lRDmOsbj59obHFQ or https://observer.co.uk/news/national/article/girlguiding-facing-mass-exodus-after-setting-deadline-for-trans-girls-to-quit
And while days like today exist because visibility is still needed, so is honesty: there are still challenges, still resistance, still voices pushing back against inclusion. That reality doesn’t weaken the message, it clarifies why it matters. In our school community, inclusion isn’t conditional or seasonal, it’s a commitment. Everyone is welcome here, including those still learning what that truly means, but respect is the baseline we stand on together.
Observed on the 31st of March 2026, TDOV was founded in 2009 by transgender activist Rachel Crandall to counteract the negative narratives often associated with transgender lives. This day provides an opportunity to acknowledge trans achievements, educate society, and advocate for equal rights. It exists to raise awareness of transgender people, recognize their lives, and push back on the shallow, distorted ways trans people are too often discussed in public life.
