Sigh – June staff meetings are pretty good markers for the end of the school year. Talking about alignment for closing things up (while keeping one eye on September startup)… looking at the way too many events coming up (G7 resort camp; SD47 Grad; Camp qathetadine ~ a first time family camp on the peninsula; PIE Grad; Musical Presentation at Bowen Island to name but a few)… 

And then the pro-d events still coming up…

Education is one of the few professions where people spend June simultaneously saying “I’m exhausted” and “Tell me more about that conference.”

The school year may be entering its final chapter, but for many educators, the next book is already sitting on the nightstand.

Here’s to finishing strong, learning continuously, and remembering that professional growth doesn’t follow a school calendar. Don’t just count down the days, make the days count*
